In Pictures: Sarsfields celebrate incredible seven in a row Ladies success

The Laois Ladies season came to a conclusion at the weekend as the three championship competitions were down for decision.

Clonaslee-St Manman’s were crowned Junior champions after they edged out Ballyfin on Saturday in O’Moore Park.

The second game on that day saw St Paul’s claim their second consecutive championship crown as they defeated Ballyroan to win the Intermediate title.

Then yesterday, it was the turn of old rivals Timahoe and Sarsfields to go head to head in the senior final.

Timahoe, appearing in their first final since 2015 and looking for a first title since 2012,  put up a really good show for as long as they could and actually led at half time.

But Sarsfields showed all of their experience in the second half to eventually run out comfortable winners.

Our intrepid photographer Julie Anne Miller was there to capture the celebrations at full time.
