County final fever will grip the county for the next month or so and we have two of them this weekend.
On Saturday evening, the Laois Junior football final will be followed by the Intermediate final.
The intermediate decider will see neighbours Clonaslee and Rosenallis clash in O’Moore Park at 7.15pm.
It has been a turbulent year for Clonaslee on the hurling front but they will be hoping for better on the football front this weekend.
They were relegated from the Senior A hurling ranks by Slieve Bloom last weekend and also had the Junior C title stripped from them after fielding two ineligible players.
However, the football has gone much better and they already claimed silverware this year by defeating Portlaoise in the Division 2 league final.
But with excitement building for the football decider this Saturday, our photographer Julie Anne Miller took a trip out to Scoil Bhride in Clonaslee to sample the excitement among the school children.
