Portlaoise Further Education and Training Centre held their awards ceremony for the evening class provision last Tuesday.
Participants received Major Awards in level 5 Healthcare Support and Level 6 Early Childhood Care & Education.
Course co-ordinator, Kathleen Dunne, commended all those receiving the awards who attended evening classes over a two-year period to complete their major awards.
She also acknowledged the support from family and friends that participants received.
The tutors Denise Kavanagh and Oonagh Flynn praised the hard work and commitment to the courses while also managing home life and employment.
