Laois woman makes plea for return of ring following robbery at her home

A Laois woman has made a desperate plea to have a ring that was stolen from her home this morning returned to her.

Ashling O’Neill returned home from work this afternoon to find that her home in Whitefields in Portarlington had been broken into.

She left her house for work at 6.45am this morning (Friday) and sometime after that, she was the victim of a robbery.

Money and phones were also taken but Aisling is only interested in the return of a ring which she says has great sentimental value to her.

Ashling said: “My house was broken into this morning and a very sentimental ring was taken.

“Please, please if anyone is offered it i just want it back. Money and phones taken too but they all can be replaced.

“This has been reported to the Gardai but I really appealing for the safe return of my ring.

“If anyone has any information on what happened, I urge you to please come forward.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Portarlington Garda Station on 057-8623112 or Portlaoise Garda Station on (057) 867 4100.
