Laois village to host Christmas fair, fun day and switching on of lights this weekend

This coming Sunday December 8 will see Clonaslee play host to a great family day in aid of the GAA Club.

The GAA club will be hosting an OsKaRs night in 2020 and this will be the first fundraiser for this.

There will be a Christmas Market and food fair taking place in the parochial hall along with a Santa’s Grotto.

The market will take place from 2-4 pm and afterwards there will be a carol service taking place in the church with the acclaimed Piano Man Tom Conroy.

Piano Man Tom is an accomplished Irish composer and performer.

He has composed 4 original mass settings for the church which have been performed live on RTE.

In addition to this he has travelled the world as an entertainer on the Holland America Cruise Lines and has performed as the resident pianist in Ballyfin Demense since April 2015 helping them claim many national and international awards.

After the carol service the switching on of the Christmas lights will take place in the Village at 6pm.

All in all it is set to be a great evening in the village for everyone involved!
