The Laois Ladies football team have recorded their first win of the league campaign under new manager Donie Brennan after a three-point victory over Longford.

Erone Fitzpatrick pointed from play before Whelan got in for her second goal of the game shortly after.
Laois were holding the lead well and were defending well against the Longford attack.
Longford went in search of a goal and it came after a stunning 21-yard shot was rifled beyond Sinead O’Rourke to leave one point between the sides late on.
Caoimhe Simms pointed for Laois as they looked to secure victory only for Longford to come back at them once again.
Longford levelled the game with 60 minutes played as Ciara Mulligan and Farrell both split the posts.
