Gardai in Portlaoise are looking for the public’s assistance in tracing the owner of a watch.
Last night, they arrested two men who were acting suspiciously around the Bellingham area.
They were found to be in the possession of knives and one of them was found with a watch.
Gardai say: “Portlaoise Gardai while patrolling overnight discovered two males acting suspiciously around Bellingham area of Portlaoise.
“Both detained and found in possession of knives. Court appearances in due course.
“However one was found with this watch. We have no reports of thefts from cars etc yet but do you recognise this watch.
“Please contact Portlaoise Garda Station on 0578674100.”
