They love their hurling in Durrow and Cullohill and that was as evident as ever at the Cul Camp in The Harps GAA club this week.
Hosting one of the biggest numbers in Laois this year and enjoying the good weather early in the week, we paid a visit to their Durrow grounds on Tuesday.
Supervisors Jason Coffey and Gareth O’Brien had it all running like clockwork as they bedded in the new guidelines that have been forced upon this year’s camps by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Strict designated drop off times and dressing rooms not being open are among two of the key changes to previous years.
While there was also a new arrangement in place to facilitate taking photographs – with social distancing measures in place.
Indeed there is an historic element to it all as the children will remember a Cul Camp experience like no other.
However, when the whistle goes and the fun and games start, there was no real difference to previous years.
Gareth O’Brien duly brought us from group to group to get the photos with the children split into their specific age categories.
