Property Watch: Five of the most expensive houses currently for sale in Laois

In this week’s Property Watch, we take a look at the higher end of the market – and at five of the most expensive homes currently for sale in Laois.

From €650,000 to €1.1 million, there is a great selection for anyone who has that type of money to be spending.

Among these five are two homes in Killenard, two in Portlaoise and one each in Portarlington.

1 The Fairways, Killenard

A 4,500 square foot home on The Heritage resort in Killenard is on the market with a €1.1 million price tag. The house is for sale with Portlaoise-based Hume Auctioneers.

The house, No 1 at The Fairways in Killenard, was constructed in 2007 at a cost of €2.1 million. It has its own 442 square foot ballroom and an entertainment balcony that has views of the second fairway on the Heritage golf course and all the way to the gardens in Emo Court.

Hume Auctioneers are also presenting this 6,000 square foot home located just over a mile from Portlaoise town centre at Rathevan.

Located on a private road just off the Dublin Road with just four other properties, this home enjoys a quiet setting but just on the edge of Portlaoise town.

Built in the 2000s, it consists of a home office, drawing room, sitting room, games room, sun room and a contemporary kitchen/breakfast room with utility space plus cloakroom. The four bedrooms are all doubles, the master bedroom has a shower room and walk-in wardrobe.
