In Pictures: Small numbers but great spirit at Colt GAA Cul Camp

Brought to you in association with All Books, Portlaoise

There was Cul Camp action in the beautiful Colt GAA grounds all last week with the young players and coaches all under the watchful eye of supervisor Tadhg Doran.

The Camross hurling goalkeeper who works with the Leinster Council was moved across to help Laois GAA with the Cul Camps and his underage coaching experience was a nice bonus for the young players in attendance.

Laois and Camross camogie players Sara Cuddy and Aine Cuddy and Cian Moffitt, who plays hurling with Colt-Shanahoe and football with Ballyroan-Abbey, were also over the individual group.

When we arrived on Friday afternoon, the sun was shining gloriously and the pitch in Colt was looking exceptional.

It all lent itself to a great atmosphere with the players in the full swing of things.

Though the numbers were small, it was all go and Tadhg brought us from group to group to help arrange the socially-distant photos.

The Colt GAA Cul Camp was the on the scheduled third of five weeks but unfortunately it looks like it’s to be the last as lockdown in Laois, Kildare and Offaly leads to most organised sporting activity being cancelled.
