Laois dog in the running to be crowned ‘Nose of Tralee’

The Pet Sitters Ireland Nose of Tralee competition is now in its seventh year.

Over 1,500 pets entered the competition – all hoping to become this year’s Nose of Tralee. In the end, 26 dogs, 5 cats and a pig will battle it out for the title of 2020 Nose of Tralee.

The judges selected one per county and Mylo is Laois’s chosen dog.

The ten month old from Ballyfin belongs to Claire Dwyer and Kevin Murphy.

Mylo’s profile reads: “I’m a fun-loving puppy. I have loads of toys but ripping up toilet roll is my favourite hobby.

“I love playing with my other dog friends. If there’s noone around to play with me I’m able to entertain myself by destroying something.

“I always manage to stay out of trouble by turning on the charm, using my adorable puppy eyes. It’s not all fun and games, there’s always time for a snooze on the couch.

“I’m a real foodie, I’d eat anything, I’m always thinking about my next meal. You could say I’m nuts about my nuts.

“I’m affectionate and I love cuddles. I’ve brought happiness to so many peoples’ lives and I would love to make them even prouder than they already are by winning the Nose of Tralee.”

The winner of the Nose of Tralee will be chosen by a public vote.

First prize is a€200 euro Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Voucher, photo shoot with David MaCauley Photography including canvas image and a €500 Tesco Voucher

Second Prize is a €100 Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Voucher plus a €150 Tesco Voucher.
