Search on for lucky EuroMillions winner after ticket sold in Laois

A person in Laois could be waking up a whole lot richer this morning.

That is because a winning Euromillions ticket, worth €50,000, was sold yesterday.

The lucky ticket was sold in Ryan’s Centra in Ballyroan and the shop posted the news on their Facebook page this morning.

They said: “If you bought a Euromillion lottery ticket in the shop yesterday, please check it carefully.

“There is a €50,000 winner around Ballyroan this morning.”

When contacted by LaoisToday, the shop were remaining tight lipped on the potential identity of the winner.

But the hope is that it is a local person.

The winning numbers were 4, 8, 10, 33 and 46 while the Lucky Stars were 8 and 11.

The jackpot of €157,170,843 was won by a player in France.
