It was all smiles in Portarlington last night as the Outdoor Winter Wonderland Christmas Experience officially opened.
The open-plan Santa’s Grotto is Covid-19 friendly and is designed for those who were unable to visit the big man this year.
Portlarlington Leisure Centre manager Sean Quirke hopes that this can bring some joy to people after what has been an incredibly tough year.
He said: “We hope it helps to somewhat brighten the end of 2020 for our community.
“Portarlington Leisure Centre would like to acknowledge the funding it has received from the KEEP WELL Campaign.
“This is brought to you with thanks to Healthy Ireland, an initiative of the Government of Ireland with funding from the Healthy Ireland Fund and the Sláintecare Fund delivered by Pobal, administered by Laois County Council, and Healthy Ireland Laois.”
The Christmas Experience opens from now until January 3.
