Brook Lodge, Old Mills, Stradbally, Laois / Leixlip, Kildare

Augustine (GUS) Fahy, ‘Brook Lodge’, Old Mills, Stradbally, Co. Laois. (Peacefully) at The Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise on 6th January 2021. Sadly missed by his loving wife Audrey Powell, his children Lorcan, Michelle, Suzanne and their mother Anne, grandchildren, sister, daughter-in-law, nephews, brother-in-law, neighbours and his many friends.

Augustine’s funeral will take place on today Friday, 8th January, at approx, 2 o’clock in Confey Cemetery, Leixlip, Co Kildare. The funeral and house will be strictly private for family members only.

 

Sean Lalor
Ring Colt, Raheen, Laois

Peacefully in the loving care of Droimnin Nursing Home, Stradbally. Deeply regretted by his nieces and nephews the Lalor and Tynan familys, cousins Fr. Eddie, P.J. and Eileen Lalor, relatives and friends.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a private family funeral will take place with Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Saturday in St. Fintan’s Church, Raheen and will be live streamed on https://www.facebook.com/paddy.byrne.77377. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Kathleen Ryan (née Kirwan)
Glosha Road, Rathdowney, Laois

Ryan (nee Kirwan), The Bungalow, Glosha Road, Rathdowney and formerly Donaghmore, Co. Laois. January 7th 2021. Peacefully in her 97th year. Kathleen, predeceased by her husband Peter Paul. Sadly mourned and lovingly remembered by her children, James, Vera, Michael, Rosemary, Paul, Catherine and David, sons-in-law Willie and Simon, daughters-in-law Anne, Solenn and Sally, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Carmel and Norrie, sister-in-law Breda, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Also remembering at this time her daughter-in-law Caroline (deceased) and her son-in-law Shay (deceased).

Kathleen’s Family wish to express their warm gratitude to all the loving and wonderful people who cared for Kathleen in her home and thereafter, nurses, doctors, carers, staff and management of Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home, Portlaoise.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions a private family Funeral has been arranged. Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 9th, at 2pm in The Church of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney followed by burial in Rathdowney local cemetery.

The funeral Mass will be live streamed (parishwebsites.ie/rathdowney)

Due to the increased risk of infection you are asked not to congregate in the Churchyard or at the Cemetery in the interest of public safety and in compliance with the current guidelines.

Dargan, Harpurs Lane, Portlaoise. January 8th 2021 Peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Droimnin Nursing Home, Stradbally. Beloved brother to Tommy and Billy. Deeply regretted by his sister in law Kate, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

In line with government guidelines. A private funeral, for family only will take place. Interment at 12 noon on Saturday in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Michael (Mick) Duff
Mountrath, Laois / Drimnagh, Dublin

Duff, Michael (Mick) (Drimnagh, Dublin 12, late of Coolnacarte, Mountrath, Co. Laois and formerly of Esso Ireland), January 5th, 2020 suddenly at St. James’ Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Rita and loving father of Fintan, Marian, Yvonne, Michael, Edel and special son Ken. Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brother, sisters, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, great neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace.

A private family funeral will take place due to Government advice regarding public gatherings. In compliance with the current HSE guidelines, the funeral will be limited to 10 people. The Funeral Cortège will pass Michael’s residence both before and after Mass, those wishing to line the route are welcome to do so, while observing all guidelines relating to social distancing.
