Laois GAA club hosting online event for Seachtain na Gaeilge

A Laois GAA club are set to host an online Irish event tonight for Seachtain na Gaeilge.

Colt GAA will run a second ‘Ciorcal Cómhra’ this evening from 8pm to 9pm on Zoom.

Ciorcal Comhra translates to conversation circle and there are many Irish language conversation groups like these across the country.

They were developed under the scheme Is Leor Beirt (It only takes two) and this was set up to support and encourage new and current Irish language conversation groups around the world.

These groups give you the chance for you to use your Irish; whether you’re fluent or only learning.

Niall Brennan, who is the Irish Officer in Colt, says the event is open to anyone who would like to get involved.

He said: “If anyone is interested in coming along, they can message Colt GAA on Facebook and they will provide you with the Zoom link.

“It’s open to everyone and every level of Irish will be accommodated.”

If you would like to take part, you can message Colt Facebook page by clicking here.
