There has been a tragic end to a search for a missing Laois man as Gardai have located a body.
On Saturday, Gardaí launched a search for the whereabouts of 21-year-old Martin Cermak.
Mr Cermak was reported missing from the Esker Hills area of Portlaoise since the morning of Friday March 19.
But Gardai have since located a body and are treating the incident as a ‘personal tragedy’.
They say: “The missing person search for Martin Cermak has been stood down following the discovery of a body on Monday.
“This is being treated as a personal tragedy incident.
“As such no further action is required.”
