LIVE BLOG: Follow all the action as Laois face Wexford in Round 1 of the National Hurling League

Brought to you in association with Telfords

And we’re finally back! Our first Live Blog is here and will bring you all the action between Laois and Wexford in Round 1 of the National Hurling league.

Almost five months on from our last GAA game involving a Laois team, it is great to be back at matches again.

Our last game involved the Laois minor footballers and it was a Leinster minor semi final against Meath in Navan back in December.

Covid-19 has curtailed all action since but it is great to see games recommencing again after so long away.

For the Laois senior hurlers, much has changed since their last game back in November against Clare.

Kilkenny’s Eddie Brennan has departed and he has been replaced by Seamas Cheddar Plunkett for what is his second spell in charge.

That begins today in Wexford Park against Davy Fitzgerald’s charges in what is a dress rehearsal for what’s to come later this year.

Laois and Wexford will meet again next month in the Leinster championship quarter final – so there could be some shadowboxing today.

There are no fans here but we’ll do our very best to bring you the action as it happens.
