Seven Laois players named in Ladies National League Division 3 Team of the Year

The 2021 Division 3 team of the season was named today and after Laois’ victory in the final over Kildare they have the highest representation in the team.

After the success of their Division 3 campaign, the Laois ladies have seven players named on the team of the season.

Laois have the largest representation on the team, while Kildare have six, Sligo and Wicklow have one each.

Goalkeeper Eimear Barry has been rewarded for her tremendous performances throughout the league campaign to take the number one shirt.

Amy Potts has taken the full-back position while captain Laura Nerney has taken up a spot on the half back line.

Ellen Healy is positioned at centre back where she was exemplary throughout the campaign.

Jane Moore is also rewarded for her fantastic performances as she is named in midfield

The forward line is then completed by Erone Fitzpatrick and Laois’ highest scorer Mo Nerney.

Laois’s Intermediate All-Ireland championship campaign will get underway in just under two weeks time.
