Here are all of Friday’s Laois GAA results from a busy evening of hurling action

Tonight’s GAA action saw hurling take centre stage at both adult and juvenile level.

At adult level the games that took placed focused on Division 1B and 2 of the hurling leagues.

In Division 1B Group A, Camross’ second team cemented their position at the top of the group with a fine win over Colt-Shanahoe.

It means that Mountrath can reach the semi-final if they avoid defeat against Ballyfin tomorrow night.

Ballyfin need to win the game by 13 points to finish second and if they win by less than that margin, Colt-Shanahoe will take second place on points difference.

Rathdowney-Errill’s second team qualified as group winners in Division 1B Group B following an emphatic win over Ballinakill.

Clough-Ballacolla defeated Portlaoise in the other game, meaning that the latter cannot qualify for the semi-finals even if they beat Ballinakill in their final group match next weekend.

In order for Ballinakill to leapfrog Clough-Ballacolla, they must beat Portlaoise by 17 points in their final group game.

There was one game in Division 2 Group A tonight as Boris-Kilcotton defeated Mountmellick in a very close affair.

The result means that Borris-Kilcotton are through to the semi-finals while Mountmellick are in the relegation playoff.

Jimmy Hilliard scored a goal with five minutes remaining in the first half to give Mountmellick a three point lead at the break – 1-9 to 0-9.

Mountmellick were leading by one point at the second water break – 1-12 to 0-14 but the game turned on its head when they were reduced to 14 players.

Borris-Kilcotton began to dominate and got three late points – with Oisin Fleming taking his tally to 10 in this period – to snatch a win over their opponents.

In Division 2 Group B, The Harps’ second team blew the competition wide open thanks to a three point win over Park-Ratheniska-Timahoe this evening.

It means that Trumera, Colt-Shanahoe and the aforementioned teams can still qualify ahead of the final round of fixtures on Tuesday evening.
