Frank Gaffney, Monamondra, Errill, Co. Laois. July 17th 2021. Peacefully at home in the presence of his family. Predeceased by his brothers Joe, Paddy, Tommy and John and his sisters Maura, Breda and Margaret, also remembering his parents. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife and best friend Brenda and his loving family Mairead and Marcella, sons-in-law Emmett and Eoin, grandchildren Ciara, Emily, Seán, Luke and Caoimhe, his sister Tess and brother Liam, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

As per the COVID-19 Directive a private funeral has been arranged. Funeral mass on Monday in the Church of Our Lady, Queen of The Universe, Errill at 12 noon on Monday (https://youtube.com/c/AllisonRitchieChurchSinger) followed by interment in St. Kieran’s Cemetery Errill. Family flowers only by request. Donations if desired to the Irish Cancer Society/Laois Hospice (http://laoishospice.ie/donate). House Private.

Tommy Hannon
Mosse Lane, Dublin Rd, Portlaoise, Laois / Athlone, Roscommon / Westmeath

Formerly from Drum, Athlone. Beloved husband of the late Jo and much loved father of Mary (Prendergast), Nancy, Liam, Aidan, Orla and Sinéad. Predeceased by his daughter Éilis. Deeply regretted by his loving family, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brother Mick (Athy), sister Helen (Gannon) Drum, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

Due to current government guidelines a private family funeral will take place. Requiem Mass on Monday at 12:00 noon in SS Peter & Paul’s Church, Portlaoise which can be viewed on the parish web cam. Interment afterwards in SS Peter & Paul’s Cemetery.

Robert (Robbie) Mitchell
Dunmore, Galway / Errill, Laois

Robert (Robbie) Mitchell, Dunmore, Co. Galway and formerly Kilmilan, Errill, Co. Laois. July 15th 2021. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Madeline and sons Gary and Thomas, his sisters Meta and Muriel, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, relatives and many friends. Predeceased by his brother Willie and sister Eileen.

Due to the COVID-19 directive a private funeral has been arranged. Funeral Service will take place at Castlefleming Church, Errill, Co. Laois (https://youtube.com/c/AllisonRitchieChurchSinger) on Monday at 3pm followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. No flowers by request, donations if desired can be made to The Western Alzhemiers Association (https://westernalzheimers.ie >donate).

Peggy Cahill (née Larkin)

Peggy Cahill (neé Larkin) : 16th July, 2021
Upper Chatsworth, Clogh, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny & formerly of Glenbrook, Ballyroan, Co. Laois.

Peacefully at her home. Pre-deceased by her loving husband Jack, sisters Maureen, Olive and brother Sean. Much loved mother of Sheila, Mary, Kitty, John, Ed, Paddy, and Mag. Peggy will be sadly missed by her sisters Nora, Bess, and Sheila, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, and partners, relatives, dear friends and neighbours.

Removal from her residence on Sunday (18th July) to Saint Patrick’s Church, Clogh for Funeral Mass at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. The Funeral Mass can be viewed on the Clogh Parish webcam https://churchmedia.tv/iframe/7938a4085600b9492d8b6cffc8c273f84e700740

Maximum of 50 people in the church.

There will be an opportunity for the community to remember Peggy by being present, socially distanced, on Sunday afternoon en route from Peggy’s home to the church (via Delaney’s Cross).
