Eight Portlaoise CBS students achieve more than 600 points in 2021 Leaving Cert

The 2021 Leaving Cert results are out and the fantastic news from Laois students continues.

Portlaoise CBS have confirmed that eight of their boys have achieved more than 600 points.

Cian Aird, Darragh Beere, Jack Delaney, Richard Okpala, Cian Territt, Mohammed El-Basheir, Muhammad Zubair Khan and DJ O’Brien-Doyle all recorded brilliant results.

A total of 28 students in Portlaoise CBS gained more than 500 points.

Earlier today, it was confirmed that a number of Laois students had received the maximum score of 625.

Finn Culleton of Mountrath CS is a happy man this morning as he achieved the maximum score of 625 – seven H1s.

For a school to have one student get maximum points in the Leaving Cert is a big deal – but Scoil Chríost Rí in Portlaoise are celebrating four 625-pointers today.

Sinead Buggy (Timahoe), Katherine Finnegan (Killenard), Kate Westlake (Portlaoise) and Hannah Biju (Portlaoise) all achieved top marks in the Portlaoise school.
