LIVE BLOG: Follow all of the action from Sunday’s first double header of Laois SFC action

After the drama of the last three days, the action continues in the Laois SFC in O’Moore Park today with four more games down for decision.

All four are in the winners section – so unlike the games on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the losers of these fixtures aren’t knocked out.

Instead the losers go to Round 3 with the winners automatically qualifying for the quarter-finals.

First up is the meeting of reigning champions Portarlington and Courtwood, who shocked Portlaoise in the opening round.

Portarlington will be looking to build on their Round 1 win over Ballyfin.

While Port and Courtwood wouldn’t have met too often in the senior grade, the players will be very familiar with each other with many having gone to school together in Coláiste Íosagáin as well playing in many underage battles, albeit under the St Paul’s banner in Courtwood’s case.

That game throws in at 12.30pm while Ballyroan-Abbey and St Joseph’s are in the second game, which starts at 2pm.
