Maureen Delaney (née Rigney)
Ballaghmore, Borris-in-Ossory, Laois

Peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Deeply regretted by her daughters Catriona and Angela, sons Flannan and Noel, sons-in-law Matty and Kieran, daughters-in-law Magda and Fiona, brother Sean, grandchildren Katie, Ellen, Grace, Niamh, Eve, Jack, Kerry, Meg, Max, Dara, Cillian, Sarah and Hannah, nieces, nephews, relatives, good neighbours and many friends.

Reposing in Tierney’s Funeral Home, Roscrea on Saturday evening from 5pm to 8pm. Private removal from her residence on Sunday morning at 10.30am to arrive in St Moula Church, Ballaghmore for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Sr. Fergal (Mary) Kenna
Medical Missionaries of Mary, Drogheda, Louth / Portarlington, Laois

The death has occurred peacefully in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital of Sr. Fergal (Mary) Kenna, Medical Missionaries of Mary, Drogheda and formerly from Portarlington, Co. Laois, Kenya and Uganda. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Vera, her sister Annie Flanagan. Sadly missed by her brother Jack and his wife Mary, her nieces and nephews, their families, relatives, many friends and her MMM Community.

A private Funeral Mass, strictly for family members only, will take place on Monday, 4th October, at 11am in MMM Convent, Drogheda, followed by burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Gwen (Gwendoline) Keyes
Dundrum, Dublin / Abbeyleix, Laois

KEYES, Gwen (Gwendoline) – (Dundrum and formerly of New York and Abbeyleix) 1st October 2021 (peacefully) in her 96th year in the exceptional care of the staff at Orwell Private N.H., Rathgar surrounded by her loving nieces Orla, Ros, Gill and nephew-in-law Emmet. Beloved sister of Olive, Stanley, Fergus, Gilbert and the late Joyce. She will be deeply missed and remembered with much love and affection by all her nieces and nephews around the world, sisters-in-law Maureen and Riitta, grand nieces, grand nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home on Saturday (2nd October) from 2 pm to 5 pm. Funeral Mass on Monday (4th October) at 11.15 am followed by burial at Deans Grange Cemetery.

The capacity of the church is restricted to 150 people; however the Funeral Mass may also be viewed through the parish web camera at the following link: https://www.dundrumparish.com/webcam/

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Focus Ireland. Those attending the Funeral Mass are requested to enter the church before the funeral cortège arrives.

Robert Dewane
Portlaoise, Laois

Robert will be sadly missed by his daughters Catriona, Julie and Sinitta his sons Robert and Finn, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Viewing to pay respects etc. on Friday, the 8th of October, from 1pm to 5pm and 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, the 10th of October, at North Kensington Funeral Home, W104RG. On the 11th of October at 10am Mass will be said at East Chapel, West London Crematorium Harrow Road, on the grounds of Kensal Green Cemetery, NW10 5NU. As per his wishes after Mass he will be cremated.

Alice Friel
Glenbarrow, Rosenallis, Laois

Died unexpectedly at home September 29th 2021. Predeceased by her beloved parents Nicholas and Elizabeth and her sister Rita Rodgers, brothers John, Nicholas and Michael. Deeply regretted by her husband Paddy, sons Paul and Patrick, daughters Louise, Ann and Fiona, sisters Rev.Sr.Lucy (Manchester), Sally Egan (Rosenallis), Breda Dunne (Rosenallis ), Mary Collier (Dublin), Carmel King (Dublin), Dinah Proctor (Kilkenny), brother Tom (Australia), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and her many friends.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home on Saturday from 6pm. Recital of The Rosary at 9pm. Reposing in the Funeral Home on Sunday morning from 11.30am until Removal at 12.30pm to St.Brigid’s Church, Rosenallis for Requiem Mass at 1pm. Burial after in St.Brigid’s Cemetery.

Joseph (Joe) Costello
Henry Road, Newbridge, Kildare / Portlaoise, Laois

Late of Brisbane, Australia. Peacefully, in Australia surrounded by his wife and his family. Sadly missed by his loving wife Robyn, children Shane, Jacqui, Lee, Joanne, Stephen, Susan, Nevada, Clayton, Jason and Cody, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, his 22 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, sisters Mary, Rosaleen and Beatrice, brothers Matt and Hugh, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Joe’s funeral will take place at a later date in Australia.
