Conor Montague
Limetree, Woodbrook, Portarlington, Laois

Unexpectedly. Sadly missed by his heartbroken parents Sean and Mary, adoring brother Eoin, grandparents Sean and Annetta Conway, Paddy and Patricia Montague, great-grandmother Mary, Godparents, aunts, uncles, relatives and a large circle of friends.

The family would like to thank you for your help and understanding at this sad and difficult time.

Michael Ryan
Mountany, Mountrath, Laois

Michael Ryan, Mountainy Mountrath and late of Ballygeehan, Ballacolla, Co. Laois. Died 13th October 2021, (unexpectedly) at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Sadly missed by his cousins the Ryan, Vousden and Alexander families.

Reposing in Burke’s Funeral Home, Mountrath, on Friday evening from 7pm with Rosary at 8pm (all those attending are asked to please respect social distancing guidelines). Removal on Saturday morning to The Church of Immaculate Conception, Ballacolla, (eircode R32VY49), (via Ballygeehan) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, (under new government guidelines the capacity of the Church is limited to 50%). followed by Burial in Aghaboe Cemetery.

Patrick (Paddy) McDonald
Chatsworth, Clogh, Castlecomer, Kilkenny / Timahoe, Laois

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and staff at Castlecomer District Hospital.

Pre-deceased by his parents Mary and Jack, daughter Denise, and brother Billy. Paddy will be sadly missed by his partner Magaret, sons and daughters, brothers and sister, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and a wide circle of neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlecomer, from 3pm on Friday (15th October) concluding with rosary at 7.30pm. Removal on Saturday morning to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Clogh, for Requiem Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Due to the present government and HSE guidelines regarding public gatherings, the capacity of the funeral home/church is 50%. All those attending are asked to please respect social distancing guidelines.

Peter Breen
Spahill, Mountrath, Laois

Peter Breen, Spahill, Mountrath, Co. Laois. Oct 13th 2021. Peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Pre-deceased by his father Peter. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by his loving wife Michelle, daughters Ava and Saoirse. His mother Kathleen, Brothers Eamonn, Sean, Lynus, Glenn and Nigel, sisters Andrea (Burke), Annemarie (O’Brien), Madeline (Cuddy), Olivia (Delaney) and Fidelma (Cuddy). Aunts, uncles, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at his home in Spahill this Thursday evening from 6 o’c with rosary at 8 o’c. (please respect social distancing guilelines at all times). Removal from his home on Friday morning (October 15th) to St.Edmund’s Church, Castletown (R32 KT22) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Followed by burial in St.Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath. Peter’s Requiem Mass will be live streamed on the St.Edmunds Church, Castletown Facebook page. (Under new Government guidelines the capacity of the Church is limited to 50%).

 

Those who would have liked to have attended but cannot, may leave a personal message in the Condolence section below. Peter’s family would like to thank you for your co-operation and understanding at this sad and difficult time. Sr Kieran (Anne) Delahunty
Raheenleigh, Cullohill, Laois

Died peacefully in her 98th year at Villa Assumpta, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. Predeceased by her sisters, May, Julie, Sadie, and brothers Jim, Mick, Martin, Peadar, Watt and Fr Tom.

Deeply regretted by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

All services will take place in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.

Funeral mass will take place at 9:30am Irish time, at Villa Assumpta on Sat 16th Oct. This mass will be streamed live.

Patrick (Paddy) Dowling
Ballymaddock, Stradbally, Laois

Paddy passed away peacefully at his residence in his 96th year in the presence of his loving family and carers. Predeceased by his loving wife Kathleen, his grandson Christopher and his sister Eileen Walshe (Kilbride). Deeply regretted by his loving family Marguerite (Gibson), Berni, Lilly (Ross), John, Tricia (Swayne), Eileen (Channing), Maureen (Downes), Paddy, Angela (Mangan), Ursula (Lenschow) and Fiona (Gaughan), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his sister Maureen Nerney, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal from his residence on Thursday evening, 14th of October, to arrive at the Church of the Assumption, The Heath for 7.30pm prayers. Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon followed by Interment in adjoining Cemetery. Paddy’s Requiem can be viewed on https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/the-heath-webcam/

Church is limited in line with current government guidelines 50% capacity. House strictly private at all times please.

Sympathisers are welcome to stand along the route to the church and in the precincts of the cemetery grounds. The Dowling family would like to thank you for your co-operation, understanding and support during this sad, sensitive and difficult time. Family flowers only please.
