Noelle Geoghegan, nee Kirwan, Lord Edward Street, Mountmellick, Co Laois. Pre-deceased by her loving husband, Martin, and also her infant son, Martin. Noelle will be sadly missed by her loving sons, John and Patrick, daughter-in-law Yvonne, grandchildren, Anita and Shaun, great grandchildren, brother Sean, sisters Ann and Betty, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home on Monday from 6pm-9pm. Recital of The Rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday morning at 11am in St. Joseph’s Church. Burial after in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Knockaroo, Borris-in-Ossory, Laois

Bennett (née Talbot) Shirley, Knockaroo, Borris-in-Ossory, Co. Laois, peacefully, at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Dublin, December 2nd 2021. Sadly missed by her husband Neil, daughter Karyn and her fiancé Eamon, her mother Pam and her brother Robin and his wife Ann and their family Sarah and Ruth, brother-in-law Roger and his wife Siobhan and their son Matthew, relatives and friends.

Funeral service in St. Andrew’s Church, Rathdowney, on Sunday at 2.30pm followed by interment in Aghaboe Churchyard. Please adhere to the COVID-19 directive regarding public gathering etiquette. Brigid Dunne (née Lalor)
Woodbrook, Mountrath, Laois

Brigid Dunne (née Lalor), Woodbrook, Mountrath and (late of Boley, Abbeyleix), Co. Laois. Died 2nd December 2021, surrounded by her family. Adored and much loved mother of Alice (Conroy) and Pádraig. Predeceased by her husband Patrick (Paddy), sisters Kathleen Wall (Boley, Abbeyleix), Teresa Cleere (Clough, Ballacolla), and brother Paddy. Deeply regretted by her daughter, son, sisters Anne Kirwan (Boley, Abbeyleix), Mary Bergin (Rathmakelly, Ballacolla), Alice (Boley, Abbeyleix), brothers Tom (Portlaoise Rd., Mountrath), and Donal (Boley, Abbeyleix), son-in-law Patrick (Patsy), sister-in-law Peg, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home, Mountrath, this Saturday evening from 7pm, with Rosary at 8pm (to keep everyone safe, please continue to adhere to social distancing, wear a face covering and refrain from handshaking and hugging). Removal on Sunday afternoon to St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath, for Requiem Mass at 2pm, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery Mountrath. Brigid’s Requiem Mass will be live streamed on the www.mountrathparish.ie

John Keenan
Beechlawn, Mountrath, Laois

John Keenan, Beechlawn, Mountrath, Co.Laois. Died peacefully on 2nd December 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly beloved husband of Peg, much loved father to Breda, Cathy, Mairead, Linda, Sean and Declan. Sadly missed by his loving grandchildren Eimear, Ciara, Niamh, Daniel, Grace, Daragh, Fiadh, Doireann, Hannah, Eabha, and Tadhg, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home (Beechlawn, Mountrath) on Thursday evening for family and close friends, with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Friday evening at 6:30pm to St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath. Requiem Mass on Saturday morning at 11am followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath.

‘Tatahi’, Ballyconnigar Upper, Blackwater, Wexford/Enniscorthy, Wexford  Dublin 18, Dublin/Rosenallis, Laois

Dearly loved and loving husband of Suzanne McKenzie Young, adoring father of India, Xavier and Pixie, beloved son of the late Liam and the late Margaret and much loved brother of Eugene, Edel, Melissa and Cyril.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, son, daughters, his brothers and sisters and their partners and spouses Gabi, Mathias, Cathal and Ciara, his nephews and nieces Severine, Amelie, Alessia, Opehlia, Jude and Boden, father-in-law Ray McKenzie, mother-in-law Bev and her husband Alan, brother-in-law Brent, family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home on Friday evening from 5 o’ clock to 7 o’ clock for family and close friends.

Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11 o’ clock in St. Brigid’s Church, Blackwater with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
