O’Brien. Johnny. Old Knockmay Rd., Portlaoise. Jan 7th 2022 Peacefully at Portlaoise Regional Hosp. surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Maura. And dearly loved father to Toney, Richard, Christina (Timmons), Maureen (Ryan) and John. Deeply regretted by his brother Billy. Sisters in law Joan and Marie. Daughters in law Martina, Margaret, Francis, sons in law Joe and Liam. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren. nephews, nieces, relatives and a very large circle of friends. And his little friend Millie.

Johnny was “A true son of the town”.

Reposing at his residence from Saturday evening with house private on Monday morning. Removal on Monday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s church for 1 pm requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery Portlaoise. Richard (Dick) Stapleton
Kiltegan, Wicklow/Clondalkin, Dublin/Stradbally, Laois

Richard (Dick) Stapleton, Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow; formerly of Clondalkin, Dublin, Stradbally and Timahoe Co. Laois.

The legend that was Dick Stapleton passed away peacefully in the wonderfully loving care of Baltinglass Community Hospital, aged 100 years, 7 months and 4 days on the 6th of January. Predeceased by his lovely wife, Norah.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter Kathleen and his son Christy, his daughter-in-law and carer, Mary, and son-in-law, Paddy, grandchildren Lisa Marie, Robert, Jack and Anna, great grandchildren Lucy, Jack (recently deceased), Zoe, Brogan, Madison Norah, Mollie, Ronan and Cillian, sister Bridie (Michigan), brother Tony (London), and as Dick himself said “all my friends”.

Dick will be reposing at his home in Kiltegan (W91YD45) from 2-5pm on Saturday, 8th of January, and 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, 9th of January. House is strictly private on Monday morning. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Baltinglass at 11am on Monday 10th of January followed by a burial in Newlands Cross Graveyard, Dublin at 1:30pm.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers to Baltinglass Community Hospital.

Peacefully at St Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny. Beloved husband of Helen. Predeceased by his sister Claire and brothers Tom and Liam. Deeply regretted by his loving wife, children Brian, Anne, Dermot, Tracey and Sean, sister Mary, brothers Ger and Des, son in law, daughter in law, sisters in law, brothers in law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Frances Sullivan (née Long)
Eastbourne, UK, Cahirciveen, Kerry/Errill, Laois/Clonmel, Tipperary

Frances Sullivan (nee Long) December 19th peacefully surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her parents Sean and Mary. Frances will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her sons Kieron and Eoin, her daughter in law Olivia, her sisters Mary, Angela, Deirdre and Geraldine, her brother Brendan, her grandchildren Tristan, Jade and Ava, the Sullivan family in Eastbourne, and her extended family and many friends.

Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, 11th January, at 1pm in St Luke’s Church, Stone Cross, Pevensey, East Sussex and afterwards to the crematorium at Eastbourne at 2pm.

Zdzaslaw Gronowski
Bianconi Way, Portlaoise, Laois

Zdzaslaw Marian Gronowski. Bianconi Way, Ridge Rd., Portlaoise. December 20th 2021, suddenly at his residence. Deeply regretted by his Loving son Tomasz, daughters Katarzyna, Sylwia, Edyta and Honorata, and all his extended family.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home, Portlaoise on Thursday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm. Prayers will be recited at 7 pm. Cremation will take place on Friday. A Memorial Mass for Zdzaslaw will take place in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise on this coming Monday at 12 noon. It may be viewed on https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/ Ashes will be interred afterwards in SS Peter and Pauls Cemetery, Portlaoise. Zdzaslaw’s family would like to extend an heartfelt to all their friends who offered them such great support during this difficult time.

Peacefully at the Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Previously in the loving care of the staff of Oakdale Nursing Home, Portarlington. Deeply regretted by his loving relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington on Thursday evening from 7pm until 8pm. Removal on Friday morning at 11:20am (travelling via Main Street) arriving St John’s Church, Coolbanagher for Funeral Service at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.

Richard (Dickie) Dunne

Richard (Dickie) Dunne, Emmet Tce, Mountmellick, died January 3rd 2022, in Coventry England. Beloved husband of Pauline, nee Geoghegan, Bay Road, Mountmellick. Recently predeceased by his son Mark. Deeply regretted by his wife Pauline, son Alan, daughters Maureen and Jackie, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, neighbours relatives and many friends.

Dickie’s Funeral will take place in Coventry at a later date.

Mary (Molly) Keane (née Brennan)
Brockry, Errill, Laois/Castlewarren, Kilkenny

Mary (Molly) Keane (née Brennan) Brockry, Errill, Portlaoise, Co. Laois and formerly Revanagh, Castlewarren, Co. Kilkenny. January 1st 2022. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the tender care of the nurses and staff of Killerig Nursing Home, Co. Carlow.

Pre-deceased by her husband John (Jack), infant son Martin-Oliver and her sister Nan Heffernan. Sadly mourned by her family, daughter Maureen, her sons Martin, Michael, Sean (John), Kevin, Joe and Brendan, son-in-law Liam O’Dea, daughters-in-law Margaret, Melanie, Mary, Pauline, Ann-Marie and Siobhán, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sister Cissie Comerford, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Removal from Brockry, Errill on Friday morning at 10.30 am to St. Canice’s Church, Borris-in-Ossory via Killasmeestia and Green Roads, for funeral mass at 11 am followed by interment in Derrinsallagh Cemetery, Borris-in-Ossory. Please adhere to the COVID-19 Directive regarding public gathering etiquette.

In memory of Patrick Keenan who died at Northwick Park Hospital, Harrow. Patrick was much loved and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Breakspear Crematorium on Friday, 7th January 2022, at 12 noon. Funeral to follow in Raheen, County Laois.
