Laois 1-8 Meath 1-13
Leinster Intermediate Camogie Championship Semi Final
The Laois camogie team’s quest to reach a Leinster final was halted by Meath in Camross yesterday.
Laois fell behind in the first half and could never recover against their opponents.
Aimee Collier and Jessie Quinlan scored early for Laois but Meath replied to those.
Collier added one more point before half time but Meath got on top as Olivia O’Halloran struck for their only goal to leave them 1-7 to 0-3 ahead.
Laois began the second half well with a brace of points from Collier before an excellent score from Grainne Delaney.
Meath pressed on again with further points but Laois kept battling.
They needed goals but the only one they managed came deep in injury time through Aimee Collier.
Their attention will now turn to the All-Ireland championship while Meath will face Kildare in the Leinster final.
