ACFL Division 1B

The Heath recorded their second win in a row in ACFL Division 1B this morning when they travelled to Ballylinan and came away with a five-point win.

It’s a win that puts them into the top four in the table, albeit only on the head-to-head rule on Killeshin, who they beat last week.

It’s a tight division with only Stradbally, on ten points, guaranteed a top four place with a round to go.

Clonaslee and Rosenallis are next in line on eight each with The Heath and Killeshin on six apiece, Arles-Killeen and Ballyinan on four and Arles-Kilcruise at the bottom on two.

Kilcruise are certain to be involved in the relegation phase of the competition but the three other places in both the bottom and top section will only be decided in next weekend’s final round of games.

Despite the glorious conditions, both sides found scores hard to come by here with The Heath ahead 0-3 to 0-1 at half time.

By the end there was five points in it.

The Heath host Rosenallis next Friday needing a win while Ballylinan are at home to Arles-Kilcruise.
