Borris-Kilcotton into Leinster League final after narrow win over Dublin side Faughs

Two first-half goals from Emmet Jones and a tally of eight points from Stephen Dunphy helped Borris-Kilcotton get the better of Dublin side Faughs this evening in the Division 1 Leinster hurling league semi-final.

The result sends Borris-Kilcotton into a final against Kilkenny’s Clara, a game that is provisionally fixed for next Saturday week as a curtain raiser to the Leinster championship game between Kilkenny and Wexford in Nowlan Park.

Borris-Kilcotton were 2-8 to 0-12 up at half time and though there was never much between the sides, late points from subs Conor Kilbane and Jim Fitzpatrick helped them over the line.
