A rural Laois community has been plunged into sadness following the tragic death of a young girl.
Hannah Kealy from Cremorgan, Timahoe, passed away in Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin following an accident.
She was the cherished and adored daughter of heartbroken parents Marie and Denis, much loved sister of Ella, treasured granddaughter of Margaret and John (Cahill) and Margaret and Tom (Kealy) and her dog Ruben.
Hannah will be sadly missed by her parents, sister, grandparents, aunts and uncles Sharon, Orlaith, Brian and Kelley, Liz and Stephen, Aisling and the late Liam (Kealy), cousins Shauna, Eve, Darragh, and Conor, and extended family.
Funeral details will be announced later. House is strictly private.
The Kealy family have strong connections in Timahoe and in nearby Luggacurren.
Tributes were paid to the family at this morning’s meeting of Laois County Council by local councillors Paschal McEvoy and Padraig Fleming.
As a mark of respect to the grieving family, GAA activity in the Timahoe and St Joseph’s clubs were cancelled over the weekend.
