Willie died peacefully at home in the presence of his beloved family.Deeply regretted by his loving wife Aileen,his daughters Sarah and Lynsey,sister Mary Coogan,sons in law Mike and Rory and adored grand-daughter Eva,sister in law Ann,nephews,nieces,relatives and life long neighbours and friends.Rest in Peace.Remains arriving at St.Brigid’s Church Ballinakill on Sunday evening at 6oc.Funeral Mass on Monday at 12oc which can be viewed on the link https://www.ballinakillknockparish.com/ Burial afterwards in St.Brigid’s Cemetery Ballinakill.Those wishing to sympathise may do so in the Church on Sunday evening and Monday morning and in the Cemetery on Monday.

Mary Ellen Cahill (née Griffin)
Kylevalley, Stradbally, Laois / Schull, Cork

Mary Ellen passed away suddenly at her residence. Predeceased by her husband Martin and grandson Denis. Sorely missed by her son Jamie, daughters Julieka, Elizabeth, Martina and Joleene, sons-in-Law, Richie, Steve, Sean and Paddy. Daughter-in-law Alice and adored grandchildren Katie, James, Lily, Evie, John, Eleana and Glenda. Sadly missed by her brothers, her childhood friend Margaret, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Funeral arrangements will be announced after the weekend.

Jacinta (Clnta) Moore (née Booth)
(Currently of Mackey, Queensland, Australia) Ballyduff, Stradbally, Laois

Died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at home in Mackay, Queensland, Australia. Predeceased by her parents Joe and Emma and her brother Richard. Beloved and devoted wife. Dearly loved mother of Siobhan and Aoife. Deeply regretted by her loving family, sisters Catherine Dunne, Elizabeth Ross, Anne Kavanagh and Mary Murphy, brothers Michael and Joe, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, Uncle Paddy, Aunt Ter, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, work, colleagues and friends.

Memorial Mass will take place in The Church of the Assumption, The Health, Portlaoise on Monday, 5th December, 2022 at 12 Noon followed by interment of ashes in the adjoining cemetery. Maureen Templey, Killimy, Emo, County Laois, died at St James’ Hospital, Dublin.

Sharkey, (Nee Nicholas), Teresa, formerly of Pound Street, Newport, Co. Tipperary, Cappanuke, Cappamore, Co. Limerick and Mountrath, Co. Laois. November 30th 2022 peacefully at St. Vincent’s Community Nursing Unit, Mountmellick, Co. Laois. Beloved wife of the late Peter and loving grandmother of the late Sean. Sadly missed by her loving daughter Caroline and son Stephen, son in law David, daughter in law Maria, grandchildren Aisling, Grace, Cormac and Daniel, brothers Jimmy and Pat, sisters Irene, Bridie, Bernadette and Angela, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Meehan’s Funeral Home Newport, Co. Tipperary on Monday, 5th December, from 5.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by removal to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Newport. Requiem Mass on Tuesday 6th at 11.30 a.m. which can be viewed on www.churchcamlive.ie/newport. Burial afterwards in Rockvale Cemetery, Newport.

Michael Anthony (Tony) Kelly
Carriglea Killenard, Portarlington, Laois/Lucan, Dublin

Formerly of Lucan County Dublin. Suddenly at his residence. Predeceased by his darling son Michael, parents Michael and Mollie Kelly Beaumont, Dublin. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Margaret, family Catharina, Helena, Sinead and Brian, grandchildren Daniel, Matthew, Aoibhe, Eoin and Michael, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Sunday evening from 4pm until 6pm. Removal on Monday morning at 11:30am (travelling via Killenard) arriving Newlands Cross Crematorium for Cremation Service at 1pm.

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her father Johnny and brother James. Beloved wife of Jimmy and much loved mother of James, John and Owen. Deeply regretted by her mother Breda, grandchildren J.J.,Chelsea, Kayla and Casey, daughters-in-law Maria and Courtney, sisters Mary Claire and Breda Anne, brothers John, Enda, Bernie and Noel, mother-in-law Kathleen, father -in-law Johnny, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home from 6pm this Friday and Saturday concluding with prayers at 8 pm.House private at all other times please. Removal on Sunday to St. Brigid’s Church, Shanahoe for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Brigid’s Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Jack Cuddy, 2 Mill Lane, Mountrath, Co.Laois and formerly of Killanure and Oxford. Died 30th November 2022, (unexpectedly) at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by his parents Sarah and Jack and his brother Tim. Sadly and deeply missed by his daughter Kathleen, sons Declan and Peter and their mother Sheila, his siblings Lar, Ollie, Maureen (Moore), Brendan, Martin, Alice (Dowling), Breda (Doran) and Micheal, grandchildren Sarah, William, Katie, Ollie, Jessica and Conor, daughter-in-law Michelle, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at his residence (eircode R32Y3C1) from 4.0’clock on Friday (2nd December) with Rosary at 8.0’clock. Removal on Saturday morning (3rd December) to St. Fergal’s Church, Camross, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by Burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Peacefully at Midlands Hospital, Portlaoise, in his 94th year. Pre-deceased by his wife Annie (Taylor) and his brother Desmond. Much loved father of Geraldine (Persse), John and Rachel (Harding). He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his son, daughters, his 12 grandchildren, especially Gemma, her partner Evan, Jessica and Ben, his 6 great-grandchildren, his brother Bertie, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law,nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law, family circle, friends, neighbours and carers.

Reposing at his home on Friday, ( Eircode; R32R2R2). Funeral Service on Saturday at his home at 1pm followed by burial in Cross Hill Cemetery, Castlecomer.

Predeceased by his brother P.J., sisters Maureen (Moore), Violet (Carroll), Rose McAvon), Essie (Costigan) and Rena (Dobbyn. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, sons Mike and Joe, grandaughters Jennifer and Molly, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Guilfoyle’s Funeral Home, Castletown, this Friday evening (Dec. 2nd.) from 7 o’c with rosary in the funeral home at 8 o’c. Funeral Mass on Saturday (Dec. 3rd) in St. Patrick’s Church, Knock, Roscrea (Eircode E53 XF63) at 12 noon, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of St Vincent’s Private and University Hospitals Dublin, surrounded by her loving husband Jim, children Peter, Maria, James, Richard and Rozamond, sister Ursula, brothers Terry and Oliver. Hugely missed also by grandchildren Reuben, Juliette, Samuel and Jeremy, daughters and sons in law, Ian, Shumon, Dorothy, Dermot and Fiona, niece Carolineand nephew William, sisters in law, brothers in law, and extended family and amazingly close friends.

Mary will repose in Rozamond and Dermot’shome, No 1 Mount Henry Drive, Killenard, Co.Laois from 6pm Thursday, 1st of December 2022.Removal (house private) on Friday 2nd November 2022, to arrive at St. Joseph’sRoman Catholic Church, Mountmellick for 6pm.Requiem Mass on Saturday, 3rd of December 2022, at 11am, before Mary is brought to herresting place in Killenard, Co. Laois.
