Died 7th of December peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents John and Rose, son Aengus, sister Nellie, brother Billy and daughter-in-law Brenda. Deeply regretted by his wife, Ann. Much loved Dad to John, Patrick, Michael, Roseann, William and Mark. Mick will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Oisín, Amy, Hannah, Eoin, Adam, Ella, Billy, Ellen, Leah, Darcie, Millie and Anna, his daughters-in-law Louise, Miriam, Helen and Róisín, son-in-law Gearóid, sister Bridie, extended family and friends.

Reposing in his home (R32443) on Friday from 5pm. Recital of The Rosary at 8pm. Funeral arriving Church of The Assumption The Heath on Saturday for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial after in the adjoining cemetery.

John Doheny
Attanagh, Laois / Attanagh, Kilkenny

Peacefully in the loving care of the staff of the O’Gorman Home, Ballyragget. Predeceased by his father Denis, mother Kate, brother Dan and sister Margaret. Deeply regretted by his loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. John was a loving uncle and a loyal friend to all the family.

Reposing at Phelan’s Funeral Home, Durrow from 4.00pm on Thursday evening with Rosary at 7.00pm. Removal to the Church of the Assumption, Ballyouskill on Friday morning for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Bridget Keegan (née O’Connor)
Morette, Emo, Laois, R32 NY02

The death has occurred of Bridget Keegan (née O’Connor), Morette, Emo, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Bridget died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on 7th December 2022. Predeceased by her husband Johnny and her brother Jer. Bridget will be sadly missed by her loving children Mary, Olive, Pat, Willie, Anne & Nuala, her grandchildren Clare, Samantha, Jonathan, Simon, Emma, Claire, Miriam, John, Conor, Gráinne, Alanna, Sophie, Louis, Johnny, David & Kevin, great-grandchildren Charlotte, Henry, Leo, Tom, Anna, Helen & Aoibheann, sons-in-law John, Gerry, Paul & John, daughters-in-law Maureen & Mary, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in her home (R32NY02) on Thursday from 3pm. Recital of The Rosary at 8pm. Funeral arriving at St Paul’s Church, Emo for Requiem Mass on Friday at 12pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Beloved husband of Tina and much loved father of Declan, Rebecca and Michael. Deeply regretted by his loving family, son in law Ciaran, daughter in law, Catriona, 11 grandchildren, his aunt Nan, extended family relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home on Thursday from 4pm to 7pm, with rosary recital at 7pm. Removal on Friday at 11.15am to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 12 noon requiem mass. Interment afterwards is St Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Ann Bowe (née Duggan)
Graigue, Rathdowney, Laois

Ann Bowe (nee Duggan), Graigue, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. 6th December 2022. Predeceased by her husband Paddy. Peacefully in her home following a short illness. Surrounded by her loving son and daughter Pat and Ann. Ann will be sadly missed by her family, son-in-law Eoin, daughter-in-law Iveta, grandchildren Jacob, Oscar and Chloe, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, 7th December, from 6 o’clock with rosary at 8pm. Funeral mass on Thursday, 8th December, at 11.30 in The Church of the Holy Trinity, Rathdowney followed by interment in Rathdowney local cemetery.

Mary Ellen Cahill (née Griffin)
Kylevalley, Stradbally, Laois/Schull, Cork

Mary Ellen passed away suddenly at her residence. Predeceased by her husband Martin and grandson Denis.

Sorely missed by her son Jamie, daughters Julieka, Elizabeth, Martina and Joleene, sons-in-Law, Richie, Steve, Sean and Paddy. Daughter-in-law Alice and adored grandchildren Katie, James, Lily, Evie, John, Eleana and Glenda.

Sadly missed by her brothers, her childhood friend Margaret, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her daughter Julieka’s residence (R32R2F8) from 2 pm on Wednesday with recital of the Rosary at 8 pm. House strictly private from 9 pm please. Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors on Thursday morning at 11.30 am to arrive at The Holy Cross Church, Ratheniska for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Interment to follow in adjoining cemetery. House private on Thursday morning please.

Nancy Fennelly (née Purcell)
14a Slatt, Wolfhill, Laois / Carlow

Nancy Fennelly, December 5th 2022 (unexpectedly) at home in the arms of her son Brendan. Beloved wife of the late Ned and much loved and adored mother of Thomas, Ann, Brendan, Caroline, Helena, Margaruite, James, William, Marie, Rosie, Bridget, Timmy, Kay, Majella and David. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, brother Joe, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home on Wednesday from 2pm concluding with prayers at 8.30pm. Funeral Mass at 2pm on Thursday (Dec. 8th) in St. Mary’s Church, Wolfhill. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
