Coolane, Killeshin, Carlow / Killeshin, Laois

Kathleen Malone (née O’Reilly) of Coolane, Killeshin and formerly of Lower Rossmore, Carlow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on March 6th, 2023, in the loving care of the management and staff of Hillview Nursing Home, Tullow Rd., Carlow.

Predeceased by her infant son, her parents John and Annie O’Reilly, her brothers John and Martin and sisters Rosie, Mary and Julia.

Beloved wife of the late Edward (Eddie), much loved mother of Anna, Sheila, James, Margaret, Sean, Catherine, Edward, Bridget and William, cherished sister of Mikey.

She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, her 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brother, sister-in-law Breda O’Reilly, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Barrack St., Carlow, on Tuesday, March 7th, from 4pm concluding with prayers at 8pm.

Removal from there on Wednesday at 11.30am to St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to Killeshin Cemetery for burial.

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Stewarts Care, Palmerstown, Dublin.

Pat Hennessy of 3 Church St., Governey Park, Graiguecullen, Carlow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on March 4th , 2023, at his home.

Beloved husband of Eileen, much loved father of Carol, Linda, Damien and Karena, adored grandfather of Darragh, Sorcha, Dean, Cian, Caitlin, Rebecca, Ryan, Adam, Sean, Danieka and the late baby Stephen and cherished brother of Willie, Betty, Michael and the late Paul.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren Chloe, Jayden and Jamie, sons-in-law Damien and Martin, Damien’s partner Petro, brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home, 3 Church St., Governey Park, Graiguecullen (Eircode R93 EV65) on Sunday, March 5th, from 2pm concluding with Prayers at 8pm.

Removal from there on Monday at 11.30am to St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 Noon. Funeral afterwards to Sleaty New Cemetery for burial.

Lucy Gantly (née Geoghegan)
Rathfarnham, Dublin / Borris-in-Ossory, Laois

GANTLY (née Geoghegan), Lucy, 4th March 2023, Ann Devlin Rd., Rathfarnham, D.14, formerly of Borris-in-Ossory, Co. Laois, peacefully in her 97th year surrounded by her loving family in the tender loving care of the staff of Millbrook Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Oisín, much loved mother of Michael, Patrick, Oisín and Cathal. Lucy will be forever loved and dearly missed by her children, daughter-in-law Helen, grandchildren Sarah, Rachel, Myles and Niamh, sisters Eileen, Marie, Agnes and Rena, extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Massey Bros Funeral Home, Templeogue Village, D6W AC82 this Monday evening from 5pm-7pm. Removal on Tuesday morning to the Church of the Holy Spirit, Ballyroan arriving for 10 am Requiem Mass followed by Cremation Service at 11.30am in Victorian Chapel, Mt. Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross. Those who cannot attend the Funeral Mass can view it by clicking here.

Breda Dunne (née Whelan)
Capoley, Portlaoise, Laois

Dunne Breda, Capoley, Portlaoise. Died 3rd March, unexpectedly. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Liam, son Declan, sister Mary Delaney, brother Johnny, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, daughter-in-law Meabh, darling grandchildren Cillian and Aoife , nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Monday from 6:30pm with rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/. Burial immediately afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise. Please observe Covid precautions.
