First Year Midlands/South East Region ‘A’ Final
Scoil Chriost Ri have been crowned Midlands/South East Regional First Year A Basketball champions.
Their success came after they defeated Naas in the final this week in St Mary’s Hall.
In a very low scoring intense contest, it was Scoil Chriost Ri’s excellent defence that won the day.
The team remain unbeaten all season, winning all their group games and defeating Tullamore College in the semi-final.
They now take part in the All-Ireland tournament in UL on the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Meanwhile, the Second Year A team lost their Regional semi-final away to Bower Athlone.
While the 1st and 2nd Year B and C teams finished their season with a very enjoyable tournament in Pres Thurles.
