Robert Armitage, Clonygowan, Ballyfin / Ballylusk, Ballyfin, Co Laois. Died 15th July 2023, (unexpectedly), predeceased by his father Austin, sister Ethna, nephew Adam, and cousin Leslie.

Sadly missed by wife Liz, stepchildren Finbarr, Hazel, Noel, Alan, Stephen and Robert, his 8 step grandchildren, mother Frances, brother Austin, sisters Gloria and Olivia, uncle Herbert and Helen, sister-in-law Stephanie, brothers-in-law Robert and Paul, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Patrick (Pat) Wynne
Hillside View, Clonaslee, Laois/Ferbane, Offaly

Patrick (Pat) Wynne, Hillside View, Clonaslee, Co. Laois; late of Cloolnahinch, Ferbane, Offaly.

Pat died on July 14th 2023, after a short illness, bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family, at Tallaght Hospital. He was a native of  Coolnahinch, Ferbane, and was predeceased by his beloved father Andrew.

Pat will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving son, Andrew, mother Elizabeth, sisters Mary Slevin (Rosemount) and Pauline Bracken (Moyclare), brother Sean (Boora), brothers-in-law John and Ian, sister-in-law Elaine, uncle, aunts, Carmel, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Predeceased by his Parents Elizabeth and George, brothers George,and Paddy ,sisters,Nell and Elizabeth

After a long illness bravely borne. Surrounded by his loving family and the amazing staff of St Vincent’s hospital, Mountmellick. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken family, brothers Joe, John & Noel, sisters Margaret, Brigid & Mary, nieces & nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing tomorrow Monday at his brother John’s residence, No 5 New Road, Portlaoise (R32 RFXF) with rosary recital at 8.00pm. Removal on Tuesday at 11.30am to St Peter & Paul’s Church for 12 noon Requiem Mass followed by private cremation.

No flowers please, donations if desired to St Vincent’s Hospital, Mountmellick. Donation box in church.

Mary Townsend (née Hickey)
The Course, Durrow, Laois

Mary passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family after a long illness borne with courage and dignity.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Albert, her sons Fred and Albert, her daughters Patricia (Trish), Antoinette and her predeceased children, her sons in law Donal and David, her daughters in law Liz and Teresa.

Cherished “Granny Mary” to her 12 grandchildren Hope, Zara, Daniel, Abbi, Aislinn, Darragh, Cian, Liam, Robyn, Ciara, Shane and Danielle her cousins and a wide circle of friends.  Predeceased by her younger brother Edward (Neddy).

Reposing at her son Fred’s residence (Eircode R32 F9KH), The Course, Durrow, Co. Laois on Sunday 16th July 2023 from 3pm concluding with recital of Rosary at 8pm.

Removal on Monday to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Durrow for Requiem Mass at 12pm with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Gort Na Rí, Ennis, Clare/Portlaoise, Laois

Liam Galvin, Gort Na Rí, Ennis, Co. Clare and formerly of Grattan Street, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. 15th July 2023 (peacefully) at Ennis Hospital.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Kay, children Mark, Stephen and Netty, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers Aidan, Brian and Alan, son-in-law Ed, daughters-in-law Sue and Claire, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements: Reposing at Kennedy’s Funeral Home, Ennis on Sunday (16th July) from 4.30 pm with removal at 5.30 pm to Ennis Cathedral.

Funeral Mass on Monday (17th July) at 10 am, followed by cremation service at Shannon Crematorium at 12 noon. No flowers please, donations if desired to Irish Cancer Society or St. Vincent De Paul.

Upper, Ballyfin, Laois

Peacefully at the Regional Hospital, Tullamore. Deeply regretted by his loving partner Caroline, brother Dirk, sister Tanja, brother-in-law Peter, sister-in-law Dirma, his nieces and nephews Esther, Johanna, Jonathan, Christopher, Andrew, Mark, Ravik, Emma and Norah, Caroline’s children Paddy, Clodagh and Tara, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

A Cremation Service for Frans will be held on Monday at 2.30pm in Newlands Cross Crematorium, Ballymount Road, Dublin 24 (D24 K1CY).
