Camross Comhaltas to represent Laois at the upcoming All Ireland Fleadh

Two Bands, one set-dancing troupe, 14 individual performers, and all from one Laois Branch – Camross Comhaltas – whose members will be heading to The All Ireland Fleadh.

This year’s Fleadh will take place in Mullingar over the week of August 6 – 13.

The Camross branch has gone from strength to strength over the past few years with strong parental support and a hard working committee.

It is under the direction of tutors Patricia Clarke, Shona Nevin, Caoimhe Lowry and Gina Reidy, who have given young musicians a wonderful experience of traditional music in group settings.

The branch is also fortunate to avail of the services of Martin Delaney Snr, who passes on his expertise in Guitar and singing, and set-dancing teacher, Catherine Lalor.

As well as representing Laois and Leinster in the upcoming All Ireland Fleadh, Camross have also been invited to perform at the opening ceremony on Sunday August 6.
