Jim Foyle
Cullenagh, Timahoe, Laois

Foyle Jim, Cullenagh Timahoe. Died August 8th. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his son Seamus and his baby daughter Josephine. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Cathleen, daughters Marguerite, Mary, Claire and Cathyrn and adored 17 grandchildren, sons in law, daughter in law, sister Mary McWey, sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise on Wednesday evening August 9th from 6:30pm with prayers at 8pm. Removal from his home on Thursday to arrive at St Michael’s Church, Timahoe for 12 noon requiem mass. Interment afterwards in Timahoe Cemetery.

Phil (Philomena) Lambe (née Fitzpatrick)
Brittas, Clonaslee, Laois

Phil (Philomena) Lambe nee Fitzpatrick, Brittas, Clonaslee, Co. Laois, and Sutton, Coldfield, Birmingham, England. Died peacefully on the 22nd of July 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Devoted wife to the late Michael and loving mother to Michael, John, Helen, Andrea and Rachel. Adoring grandmother to Michael, Daniel, Patrick, Christy, Katie, Ruth, Thomas, James, Maimie, Anna and Mollie and great-grandmother to Tadhg, Kaelon, Nancy, Jon-Joe, Sylvia, Rónán and Cónal.  She will be sadly missed by her loving brother Tom, sisters Margaret (Marg) and Maura, predeceased by her brother Sean, daughters-in-law Maria and Valerie, sons-in-law Brian, David and Graham, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Funeral Mass on Friday, the 11th of August, at 12 noon in St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee. Phil’s Funeral Mass can be viewed on www.churchmedia.tv by selecting County Laois. Phil’s family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support at this difficult time.

Margaret (Margo) Ryder
Cappabeg, Rosenallis, Laois / Myshall, Carlow

Margaret (Margo) Ryder, Cappabeg, Rosenallis, Co. Laois and formerly of Belalaw, Myshall, Co. Carlow, peacefully on August 7th, 2023 at Tullamore General Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Christopher and Mary Ann, brothers Jim & Christopher, sister Mary Kenny, niece Aisling Hennessy.

Deeply regretted by her partner John, brother Willie, sister Kathleen Fitzgerald, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, best friend Liz & cousins.

Reposing at Kearney’s Funeral Home, Fenagh on Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to arrive at the Church of The Holy Cross, Myshall for 11am Requiem Mass, followed by burial in Lismaconly Cemetery, Myshall.

Frank Bentley
Bray, Wicklow/Mountmellick, Laois

Frank Bentley of Bray, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Mountmellick, Co. Laois, passed away peacefully, on Friday, 4th August 2023, at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Irene and loving father of David, Barry and Kathrina, father-in-law of Carrie and adoring grandfather of Seán and Maeve, Finn and Riley. He will be sadly missed by his family, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Wednesday (Aug.9) from 7.00pm to 8.30pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday (Aug.10) at 10.30am in the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Putland Road, Bray, followed by burial in Springfield Cemetery, Killarney Road, Bray. For those who are unable to attend, the mass may also be viewed on the parish webcam. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired to Purple House Cancer Support.

Joe Mallon
Hortland, Donadea, Kildare/Portlaoise, Laois

Mallon, Joe, Hortland, Donadea, Naas, Co. Kildare & Joe Mallon Motors Naas & Portlaoise, August 4th 2023, suddenly at his residence.

Sadly missed by his loving partner Patricia, Children Ethna, Anthony, Noel, Gemma & Philip and their mother Beatrice. His devoted grandchildren Abbie, Ben, Leah, Jack, Ann, James, Lucy, Ciara, Harry, Beatrice and Alice, sons & daughters in law Donnachadh, Richard, Rachel & Eimear. Patricia’s children Sabrina, Alan, Emma, Nicola, Bernard & Georgina and Patricia’s grand children. Joe will also be sadly missed and remembered by his relatives, his colleagues in Joe Mallon Motors & his many neighbours & wide circle of friends.

Reposing at his residence (W91W80H) on Wednesday from 3pm, with prayers at 8pm. Removal from his residence (W91W80H) on Thursday at 11.30am to arrive at The Church of the Nativity, Newtown for 12 noon funeral mass, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
