Christy Casserly who recently completed the QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support course encouraged anyone thinking of returning to education to “take the leap”, he says “At the age of 56 starting the course I thought what have I done, but I could not have been more wrong” Christy credits the support he received from tutors and his classmates with putting him on the right track to succeeding in his chosen career in Healthcare.

It isn’t just those who are returning to education who will benefit from the courses offered in Abbeyleix, Connor Fitzpatrick enrolled in the Biosciences programme after his Leaving Cert and he would urge any school leaver to consider a Post Leaving Cert (PLC) course in Abbeyleix FETC, he said: “I would urge anyone to do a PLC course, I now feel ready and prepared to tackle any challenge that comes my way as I head towards third level education.
