Imelda Hanlon (née Murray)
Station Court, Portarlington, Laois / Sandymount, Dublin

Formerly of Seafort Gardens, Sandymount, Dublin. Unexpectedly, at her residence. Predeceased by her parents, Cornelius and Mary, brother Michael and former husband Gerry. Sadly missed by her loving family Nigel, Rachel and Dwayne, grandchildren Cal, Cerys, Luke, Ben and Ali, sisters Sadie and Kathleen, brother Thomas, daughter-in-law Karen, good friends Brian, Nicola and Vera, nieces, nephews, extended family, her carers, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence in Portarlington on Friday evening 25th August from 5pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning 26th August arriving St Mary’s Star of the Sea Church Sandymount for Requiem Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium for Cremation Service at 12:30pm.

Peter Curry, Carrick Cross, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. 22nd August 2023, peacefully at St. James’s Hospital, Dublin surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his daughter Orla. Sadly mourned by his loving wife Ann, brother Eamon, sisters Mary and Alice, sisters-in-law Breda, Frances and Deirdre, brothers-in-law Paul and Nicholas, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home Rathdowney (R32 NY24) on Friday 25th from 6pm to 8pm with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday 26th at 12 noon in St. Canice’s Church, Clough followed by interment in Bealady Cemetery.

Teresa Gilman (née Young)
3 Newtownperry, Rathdowney, Laois

Teresa Gilman (nee Young), 3 Newtownperry, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. 23rd August 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Sadly mourned by her husband Fintan, daughter Rose, sons Fintan, Michael, James and Patrick, son-in-law Chris, daughters-in-law Lorraine, Helen, Paula and Sarah, sisters  Ann, Nuala and Essie, brothers Eugene, Robert and Jimmy, her loving 13 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and carers and her beloved dog Bailey.

Lily Mc Donald (née Mc Wey)
Larchfield House, Ballyroan, Laois

Loved by her husband Charlie, children, Martin, Simon and Siobhan, daughter-in-law Loretta and grandchildren, Isabel, Laura and Charlie. Sister of the late Mai Flanagan, Jim, Fr. Liam, Fr. Jack and Brendan Mc Wey. Lovingly remembered by her family, in-laws Eileen Mc Wey and Daniel Cass, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home, Thursday, August 24th, from 3pm. with Rosary at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass at 11am. in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyroan on Friday, August the 25th, with interment afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Thomas Maher
Templeogue, Dublin / Stradbally, Laois

MAHER, Thomas, 22nd August 2023, Templeogue and formerly of Stradbally, Co. Laois. Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff of Peamount Hospital. Predeceased by his beloved wife Nancy. Loving father to Noel, Peter, Ann, and Cathriona. Thomas will be forever loved and sadly missed by his sons and daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren Jason, Lainey, Sarah, Sinead, Kim, Ashling, Ryan, Stephen, and extended family.

Reposing in Massey Bros., Funeral Home, Templeogue Village (D6W AC82), this Thursday evening from 5-7pm. Removal on Friday morning to St Jude the Apostle Church, Templeogue, arriving for 11am Requiem Mass, with burial thereafter in Bohernabreena Cemetery. Nicholas (Nicky) Meagher
Ballybuggy, Rathdowney, Laois, R32 K2V4

Nicholas (Nicky) Meagher, Ballybuggy, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. 20th August 2023. The untimely death has occurred of Nicholas (Nicky) Meagher at Tullamore Hospital, surrounded by his loving wife Susan, son Nicholas and his family. Nicholas is predeceased by his loving mother Marion and dear sister Anne. Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Susan, son Nicholas, father Nicholas, dear sisters Felicity and Jane, brothers Graham, Dougie and Greg, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home Ballybuggy (R32 K2V4), House Private until Wednesday 23rd at 5pm with prayers 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday 24th at 11.30 am in the Church of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney, Co. Laois (www.parishwebsites/rathdowney) followed by cremation in Illaunmanagh, Shannon Co. Clare (V14 PV30) at 3pm. To be interred at a later date in Bealady Cemetery with his loving mam and sister.

Kathleen O’GRADY (née Donnelly)
Graiguecullen, Carlow / Crettyard, Laois

Kathleen O’Grady (née Donnelly) formerly Oakley Crescent, Graiguecullen, Carlow and London and originally Farnans, Crettyard, Co. Laois, August 18th 2023 in the care of  Beechwood Nursing Home, Leighlinbridge in her 95th year. Sadly missed by her loving son John, extended family, relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass on Thursday (August 24th) at 10am in St. Abban’s Church, Doonane (R93 AT86) followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
