Sadness following the passing of Laois woman who was ‘was so cheerful and full of smiles’

Maureen Reynolds RIP

There is sadness in Laois this week following the passing of a woman who was well known to many across the county.

Maureen Reynolds (née Dooley), from Beladd Upper in Portlaoise, passed away on Saturday last.

Formerly of Barking, Essex, Maureen passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family after a short illness borne with great courage and dignity at Tullamore Hospital.

Dearly loved wife and best friend of Robert (Bob) and adored mother of Sophia and Shane.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, daughter and son, her sister Ann, brother John, in-laws, family circle, friends, neighbours and work colleagues in Mulhall’s Supervalu.

And it was in Mulhall’s Supervalu that most people will have encountered Maureen over the years.

They penned a lovely tribute to her on their Facebook page.

They said: “Our Maureen was an incredible work colleague and will be a massive loss to all at Mulhalls.

“Maureen was so cheerful and full of smiles, she would always brighten your day. Always making time for a quick chat and laugh.

“As you can imagine we are all in deep shock over Maureen’s passing so please bear with us as we navigate through this difficult time.”

Maureen will be reposing at St Peter’s (Church of Ireland) Church from 6.30pm on Tuesday with Service of Evening Prayer at 8 pm.

On Wednesday, Maureen will repose at home from 4pm with Rosary at 7pm.

Then on Thursday, Requiem Mass will take place at St Peter and St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church at 2pm, Portlaoise, followed by burial at The Holy Trinity Church, The Rock of Dunamase.

May Maureen Rest in Peace.
