Mary Bergin (née Loughman)
Gurteen, Ballacolla, Laois

Unexpectedly at her residence. Pre deceased by her husband Tony, daughter Colette and son in law Pat.

Deeply regretted by her loving children Marian, Elaine, Martin, Bernie, Connie, Siobhan and Nicola, sons in law, daughter in law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.

Reposing at her son Martin’s residence Gurteen (R32x725) on Friday 24th Nov. From 2pm with rosary at 8pm.

Removal from her residence on Saturday morning to arrive at St. Tighernach’s, church Cullohill for requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in Durrow Cemetery. The funeral mass can be viewed live by clicking the link below.

Catherine Duff (née Dunne)
Fieldbrook, Dublin Road, Portlaoise, Laois

Peacefully in the care of Cara Ward St. Vincent’s PH. Predeceased by her brothers Martin, Brendan and Patrick, beloved wife of John and mother of Celestine.

Deeply regretted by her husband John, her daughter Celestine, Celestine’s partner Pat, sisters Margaret,Anne and Marian, brother Gerry, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise  on Friday from 6.30 pm. to 8pm. with prayers at 7.30.pm. Removal to St.Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. on Saturday.

Interment afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Abbeyleix. Family Flowers only. Donations, if desired, to The Cuisle Center, Portlaoise.

Niall Kavanagh
Lehaunstown, Cabinteely, Dublin/Mountrath, Laois

Formerly of Rushin, Mountrath, Co. Laois, on November 22nd at The Hermitage Clinic, Dublin. Predeceased by his father Larry.

Much loved and deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Carola and his adored sons Kevin and Alex.

Sadly missed by his mother Mary, brother Laurence, sisters Helen and Edel, father-in-law Jan-Åke, mother-in-law Katja, brothers-in-law John, Joakim, Andreas and Yusmany, nephew Finn, nieces Sarah, Marley and Valentina, aunt Catherine, uncle Jim, cousins, extended relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray, A98 PX65, on Monday (Nov. 27) from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday (Nov. 28) at 10.00am in St. Brigid’s Church, Cabinteely, Dublin D18 YP96, followed by private cremation.

Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Multiple Myeloma Ireland.

Suddenly. Predeceased by his parents Garrett and Dora, brothers Gary and John. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Mary, family Nicola, Jean and her husband Guido, Debbie and her partner Clifford, Simon and his partner Hannah, brother Paddy, sisters Peg Whelan, Anne Byrne and Doreen Folan, grandchildren Samuel Ayla, Emmy and Esme, brothers-in-law Oliver and Dick, sisters-in-law Marie, Ann, Lily and Breda,, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. ​​​​​​

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington on Friday evening from 5:30pm with Rosary at 8pm.

Removal on Saturday morning at 10:20am arriving St Michael’s Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery, Portarlington.

Churchlands, Mayglass, Wexford, Y35 DH59/Portlaoise, Laois

Rice, Peter (Churchlands, Mayglass, Co. Wexford and late of Portlaoise), November 20, 2023, beloved father of David and Janette, father-in-law of Michelle and Andre, brother of Gretta, the late Paul and Clement; sadly missed by his family, grandchildren Sean, Dáire and Aoife, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing in his son David’s residence (Y35 DH59) on Friday from 3pm until 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12 noon in St. Fintan’s Church, Mayglass, burial afterwards in Mayglass Cemetery. House private on Saturday morning, please.
