Tractor run on The Heath as part of National School’s annual Christmas event

A tractor run for both young and old is fast approaching as The Heath NS hosts their annual Christmas themed event on Sunday, December 17.

The fundraiser is being organised by the school’s Parents Council, as they seek to raise funds for a much-needed playground for their infant classes.

The Tractor Run will be open to farmers and tractor lovers of all ages, with a junior event for all pedal-powered vehicles kicking off at 4.30pm, and the main event then beginning at 5pm.

Those attending are asked to make the most of the Christmas season by decorating their tractors with lights, tinsel or any other festive adornments.

Sarah Kelly is Chairperson of the school’s parents Council and one of the organisers of the event.

“We were delighted with the response to our inaugural Tractor Run last year and are delighted to bring it back for 2023,” she said.

“There is something for all ages, it is a lovely family event, and we would love to welcome another big crowd this Sunday.”

The meeting point on the day is the green area outside The Heath church, with registration for the main tractor run taking place from 4pm in the hall adjoining the The Heath church.

Registration fee is a minimum of €20 and all donations on the day are greatly appreciated.
