John (Jack) Delaney, Kyledellig, Ballacolla, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Died suddenly December 5th. Dearly loved son of Tim and Eileen, much loved brother of Tim and Tom and adoring sister Sarah.

John will be sadly missed by his sisters in law Sara and Kate, nieces Evelyn and Sadie, nephew Tim, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives, neighbours and large circle of friends.

Ryan (Hat), Anthony (Tony), Bealaclave, Rearcross, Newport, Co. Tipperary, December 5th 2023, (suddenly) at his residence in the arms of his wife Mary.

Predeceased by his parents Neddie and Mary, sister Breda (Twohig), his father and mother in law Tommy and Peggy Hogan and brother in law Thomas.

Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Mary G (nee Hogan, Coolowley, Errill, Co. Laois), his cherished daughters Marie and Antoinette, Marie’s partner Eoghan, brothers Jimmy, Timmy and Eamon, aunts Eileen (Chadwick) and Julia and Eddie (Lambe), brothers in law Jim, John and Paul, sisters in law Eileen, Margaret, Nora and Catherine, nephews, nieces, relatives, cousins, neighbours and friends.

May Lyons, December 4th 2023 in the gentle care of the Sacred Heart Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Davy and much loved mother of Michael, Marie and the late David. Sadly missed by her loving son, daughter, son-in-law Milton, grandson David, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home, Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Thursday from 3pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal on Friday afternoon to the Holy Cross Church, Killeshin to arrive for funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Friends of the Sacred Heart Hospital.

Ballinagar, Ballylinan, Laois, R14AW65

Formerly of Tomaclavin, Luggacurran, Co. Laois. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Annie, sister Margaret and brothers Jim and Liam. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Larry, daughters Charlotte and Anna, sister Mary (Hooper), brothers Joe and John, son-in-law Billy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren Kate, Ollie, Andy and Stella, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her residence (R14 AW65) on Wednesday afternoon (Dec 6th) from 4pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 7pm. Removal on Thursday morning to arrive at St. Abban’s Church, Killeen for Requiem Mass at 10am. A private cremation will take place afterwards. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Friends of St. Vincent’s Hospital, Athy.

Marie Geoghegan, Main Street, Borris-In-Ossory, Portlaoise, Co. Laois,

Died December 4th 2023 peacefully in the loving care of the staff in the Villa Marie Nursing Home, Roscrea.

Predeceased by her sisters Lucy (Gantly) and Agnes. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her loving sisters Eileen (Sr. Catherine, Mountrath) and Rena, nephews Mike, Pat, Oisín and Cathal, grandnephew, grandnieces, cousins, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Guilfoyles Funeral Home, Castletown (Eircode R32TN84) this Wednesday evening (Dec 6th) from 6pm with rosary at 8pm. Removal, Thursday morning (Dec 7th) from her residence to arrive at St. Canice’s Church, Borris-In-Ossory for Requiem Mass at 11am with interment immediately afterwards in Knockaroo Cemetery.

Marie’s Requiem Mass will be live streamed on Borris-In-Ossory Parish Online Facebook page.

Nancy (Nora) Kavanagh nee Walsh, 1 St. Fergal’s Park, Ballacolla, Co. Laois, December 4 th. 2023, peacefully at Castlecomer District Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband John-Joe, and brother Joe.

Sadly missed by her adoring family, Joanne, Michael, Mags (Maggie), Ned and Brendan (Duxie), sons-in-law Jimmy and Kurt, daughters-in-law Lisa, Gillian and Andrea, grandchildren Kayne, Georgia, John-Joe, Mikey, Brady, Casey, Logan, Ciaràn, Mackenzie, Sophia, Rylee, Jason, Oscar, Freya, Colby, Mila and nanny Nancy to Kevin, Frankie and Corey, brother Donie, sister Mary, sister-in-law Margaret, brother-in-law Seamus, nieces, nephews extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at her daughter Mags’ residence, Ballagh, Errill (Eircode R32 E6AO) on Tuesday evening from 4 o’clock, pausing for prayers at 7 o’clock. Reposing at her son Brendan (Duxies’) residence 19 Derrywood, Durrow (Eircode R32 E795) on Wednesday evening from 4 o’clock, pausing for prayers at 7 o’clock.

Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballacolla, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon followed by interment in Bordwell Cemetery Clough, Co Laois. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Prague House Care Home Freshford or Friends of Castlecomer District Hospital.

Peacefully at Portlaoise Midlands Hospital on Monday 4th of December.

Sadly missed by his daughters, Brenda, Theresa, Jacquie and Roisin, son Martin, brothers Pat and Albert, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Beatrice, in-laws, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Joyce’s Funeral Home Borris on Tuesday from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Funeral to arrive at the Church Of The Holy Trinity, Goresbridge for Requiem Mass at 11am on Wednesday followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Reposing in Guilfoyles Funeral Home Castletown eir code R32TN84 this Tuesday evening (December 5th) from 4pm with removal at 7.15pm to St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown for funeral prayers at 7.30pm.

Funeral Mass this Wednesday morning (December 6th) at 11pm with burial immediately afterwards in Aghaboe Cemetery.

Formerly of Ballinabrackey, County Meath. Peacefully, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Loving wife of the late Hugh and dear mother of the late Gráinne. Deeply regretted by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brother Jimmy, sister Eilish , in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at her residence (eircode R32 PE08) on Monday and Tuesday from 4pm with Rosary at 8pm on both evenings. Removal on Wednesday morning at 11am arriving St Michael’s Church, Portarlington, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery, Portarlington.

Muiris passed away suddenly in his home on Thursday the 30th of November. He was pre-deceased by his father Maurice. Beloved son of Ann and brother of Joseph, Fergal and Aidan. Muiris will be sadly missed by his loving family, his sisters-in-law Assumpta and Paula, his nieces Tara and Kiera, his nephews Michael, Sean, Vincent and Anthony, his aunts Kathleen, Mary, Betty and Maureen and his uncles John Joe, Pat and Matthew, his extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home, Mountmellick, on Tuesday 5th from 6pm. Recital of the rosary at 7.30pm. Removal on Wednesday 6th, at 10.30am to St. Brigid’s Church, Rosenallis, arriving for 11am requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in Rosenallis Cemetery.

Mary McGrath (née Kennedy)
Terenure, Dublin/Mountrath, Laois

McGRATH (née Kennedy) Mary (Josie), late of Mountrath, Co.Laois and Terenure, Dublin. 1st December 2023, (Peacefully) in Tallaght Hospital, surrounded by her loving sons. Beloved wife of the late Thomas and loving mother to John, Tom and Seamus. Pre-deceased by daughter-in-law Catherine. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters-in-law Mary, Margaret and Kathleen, grandchildren Paul, Stephen, John, Claire, Tom, Conor, Sarah and Matthew, great-grandchildren Ben, Oscar and Luke, niece Judith, extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours.

The McGrath family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Lisheen Nursing Home Rathcoole and Tallaght Hospital for the wonderful care given to Mary.

Mary will be reposing on Wednesday from 4pm-6pm at the Larry Massey Funeral Home 100 Terenure Road North. Removal on Thursday morning to St. Pius X Church College Drive, Templeogue arriving for 10am mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to Bohernabreena Cemetery.
