In Pictures: Portlaoise Rotary Club hosted concert in aid of Kolbe Special School

A fundraising concert in aid of Kolbe Special School took place in Portlaoise on Saturday, April 13 and was well attended.

Portlaoise Rotary Club are behind this concert which was hosted at St Peter’s Church of Ireland.

All proceeds raised from the concert went towards providing a new interactive programme, MultiBall Pro, for the gym in the new Kolbe Special school.

An array of local talent performed on the night such as the Lynam School of Irish Dancing from Portlaoise, the Ukrainian MALVA choir also based in Portlaoise and the Portarlington Concert Band.

While Caoimhe Fitzpatrick, a young and very talented soprano from Mountrath, joined some young students who performed some traditional Irish music.

The MC for the concert wass Mark Doheny from Castletown and he kept it all flowing nicely.
