Dysart Motors, based on the New Road in Portlaoise, is a 24-hour breakdown recovery service.
We are seeking a reliable and professional truck driver to join our recovery team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently collecting and delivering vehicles using a recovery truck.
This is a part-time role – but may be full-tome for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport vehicles between locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery
- Jump-starts
- Wheel changing
- Oversee the safe loading and unloading of vechiles
- Carefully maneuver the vehicle into correct positions during loading and unloading
- Perform regular vehicle inspections and comply with all relevant transportation rules and regulations
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid driving license appropriate for 10 ton recovery truck
- CPC in date
- Professional driving experience
- Clean driving record with no recent violations
- Ability to concentrate and drive safely
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with GPS/sat-nav systems
- Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading of vehicles
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work various times
Training will be provided.
Part-time mechanic
We are also seeking to hire a part-time qualified mechanic for servicing and repairs of cars and light commercials.
- Clean driving licence
- Good time keeping
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and safely
