In Pictures: Parks Tennis Summer Camp proves a big hit in Vicarstown

No matter what your interest is, there is a summer camp for you.

Not only are the options getting better, but there’s also more coming to the rural areas.

While almost every parish in the county has a couple of Cul Camp options, the past couple of years has seen Laois County Council-sponsored tennis camps take place around the county.

And this year one of the events was held in Vicarstown, host by the SVT Activity and Wellness Hub.

The camp ran from July 25 to 29 at the Community Centre in Vicarstown where they were able to avail of both outdoor and indoor facilities.

Children aged 6-10 took part in the morning session while the afternoon was for 11-16 year-olds.

As well as a qualified tennis coach in Bryan Stewart, there was also a number of local Youth Sport leaders also involved in the running of the camp.

You can check out a selection of images from the event captured by photographer Michael Scully.
