The next Laois Heritage Society talk will be by George Cunningham who will give an illustrated talk on the Round Towers of Ireland with particular attention to Timahoe and other south midland towers’.
George is president of the Roscrea Heritage Society and the talk will take place this Thursday, April 27, in the Portlaoise Heritage Hotel at 8pm.
George has published extensively on Early Medieval Ireland especially with regards to Monastic settlements.
