Brennan, Summerhill Lane, Portlaoise and late of Rathleague, November 28th 2017. Suddenly. John Joe, beloved husband of the late Kathleen and dearly loved dad to Niall, Emma and Deirdre. Cherished granddad to Tony, Brian, Gary and Konrad. Deeply regretted by his loving family, son-in-law Jarek, daughter-in-law Bernie, The Cashin family, aunt Kathleen, colleagues in An Post, relatives and his very many friends.
Reposing at his family home at Summerhill from 4pm on Thursday, with rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass at 10am on Friday morning in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise. Interment will take place immediately afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise. House private on Friday please.

 
Patrick Keegan
Esker, Ballyfin, Laois

The death has occurred of Patrick Keegan, Esker, Mountmellick, Co. Laois. Beloved brother of Marie Fenton, Rita Fitzpatrick and Phil Morrissey and devoted uncle to his eleven nieces and six nephews. Very sadly missed and dearly loved by his sisters and their families. Reposing at Moloney’s Funeral Home, Mountmellick from 8pm Tuesday, 28th, with rosary at 9pm. Removal to St. Fintan’s Church on Wednesday, 29th, for prayers at 8.30pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday, 30th, at 11.00am, followed by burial to the New Cemetery, Ballyfin. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to The Cuisle Centre, Portlaoise.

Formerly of O’Moore place, Portlaoise. Died peacefully at The Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore. Deeply regretted by his loving wife May, brother Michael, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandneices, grandnephews, great-great-grandnephew, neighbours, relatives and friends. Reposing in his home on Wednesday and Thursday with Rosary on both evenings at 9pm. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Margaret Restrick (née Huggard)
Shaen, Portlaoise, Laois/Waterville, Kerry

Restrick (nee Huggard) St. Brigid’s Hospital, Shaen, Portlaoise and formerly Dublin rd Carlow., November 27th 2017. Peacefully in the arms of her loving children, Hazel (Kilkenny) and Richard.(Wexford) In the tender care of the matron and staff of Shaen Hosp. Margaret Ann. Wife of the late Jim Restrick. Deeply regretted by her loving family, grandchildren Julie, Jeff, Jessica, and James, great-grandchildren Leon, Ruadhán and Caomhán, sister Irene, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, family and friends in Shaen Hospital. Funeral Service at 2 pm on Thursday in St. Peter’s Church, Market Sq., Portlaoise, followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Quigley (née Conroy), Dairyhill, Ballacolla, Co. Laois. November 27th 2017, peacefully at Tallaght Hospital. Mary, deeply regretted by her husband Liam and her family, Maud, Caroline, Ann, Elizabeth, Willie, Mark, Olivia and Denise, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, Vincent, Sheamie, Phil, Patricia, Francie, Anna-May and Bernie, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home (Dairyhill) on Tuesday from 4pm with rosary at 9pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday in St. Canice’s Church, Clough at 11am followed by burial in St. Fergal’s Cemetery, Ballacolla. Family flowers only by request, donations in lieu to the Osborne Renal Ward, Tallaght Hospital.

O’Brien (nee O’Regan) Mary (Nan) late of Ballyfermot and Attanagh, Nov. 26th 2017 peacefully at St. James’ Hospital, beloved wife of the late Owen. Sadly missed by her loving daughter Patricia (Fritchie) son Martin (Bruddy) son-in-law Gerry, daughter-in-law Rita, granddaughters Sarah, Edel & Camilla, great-grandchildren Eoghan, Oisín, Lucy, Katie, Michael, Daniel & Lauren, sisters, brother, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends & neighbours. MULHALL Bridget (Bridie) (Coolock, Dublin and formerly of Killenard, Portarlington, Co. Laois) 27th November 2017 (peacefully) in the wonderful care of the staff of Banks Ward, Beaumont Hospital surrounded by her loving family, beloved wife of the late Jim and loving mother to the late Anne; very sadly missed by her children Chris, James and Marie, grandchildren Deidre, Shane, Lisa, Emma, Mark and Ciara, daughter-in-law Monika, son-in-law Paul, brother Dick, sisters-in-law, Olive and Alice, brother-in-law Dan, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at the family home on Tuesday between 5pm and 8pm. Removal on Wednesday, 29th November, to St. Brendan’s Church, Coolock arriving for 10am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Killenard Cemetery, Portarlington, Co. Laois. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to the National Council for the Blind.

Hennessy (Nee) Burke 25th November 2017. Catherine (Kathleen) Ballynolan Stradbally, Co. Laois and formerly Killamuck, Abbeyleix. Co Laois, Peacefully in the care of the staff of Bethany House Tyrellspass. Beloved wife of the late Fintan and dear mother to John, Siobhain, Paul, Donal, Brendan and Catriona. Sadly missed by her loving family, Sisters, Sheila Kearney, Margaret Minnassian, Theresa Leslie and her brother Francis. Also mourned by her Sons in Law, Seamus and William, daughters in law, Martina, Judy and Mary, Her adored grandchildren, brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and her many friends.
Reposing at her home, Ballynolan, from 6pm this Sunday evening with recital of the Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Monday 27th November to arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally, for 7.30 pm prayers. Requiem Mass on Tuesday 28th at 11am with interment to follow in Oakvale Cemetery, Stradbally.

Margaret (Peg) Perse, late of St. Dominic’s Park, Athy passed away peacefully 25th November, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at the Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Deeply regreted by her daughter Bernadette McArdle (Stradbally), son Aidan, son-in-law Liam and daughter-in-law Bríd, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Athy on Monday 27th from 4pm with Rosary at 7.30pm. Arriving Tuesday morning at St Michael’s Parish Church for 11am funeral Mass, burial afterwards in St. Michael’s New Cemetery.

Redhill, Ballyroan, Co. Laois. Passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Sean, beloved husband of Bernadette and dearly loved father to Anne Marie, John and Brian, grandfather to Ayla, Aisling and Liadh. Deeply regretted by his loving family, sisters Peg Cahill, Nora Fitzpatrick, Bess Dowling and Sheila Duff, brother-in-law Fint, daughter-in-law, Marie, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Keegans Funeral home, Portlaoise from 6.30pm on Sunday evening with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Monday morning to arrive at St Patrick’s church, Ballyroan for 12 noon requiem mass. Interment afterwards in St Patrick’s cemetery, Ballyroan. House private please.

Mary Edwards (née Keane) Homefield Park, Sutton, Surrey and formerly Castlefleming, Errill, Co. Laois. November 13th 2017. Peacefully following a brief illness at the Royal Marsden Hospital, Sutton. Predeceased by her sister Trishia and her parents Pat and Mary. Sadly missed by her husband Stan, her sisters (twin sister) Margaret Higgins, Agnes Powell and Martina Allen, her brothers Timmy, Johnnie and Paddy, her brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces and nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, her aunt, cousins, relatives, extended family and many many friends in Ireland and England.

Mary’s funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday November 28th in St. Christopher’s Church, Cheam, followed by cremation at South East Surrey Crematorium, Morden.

Fitzpatrick, Margaret (nee Phelan) (Dromard, Clonmore, Templemore, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Shanboe, Borris-in-Ossory, Co. Laois) – November 23rd (peacefully) in the loving and excellent care of the doctors, nurses and staff of the Regional Hospital, Portlaoise and previously in the care of the Matron and staff of the Villa Maria Nursing Home, Roscrea; dearly beloved wife and best friend of Joe, much loved and cherished mother of Martina and Brendan, adored grandmother to Grace and Cal, sister of the late Ann (Treacy) and Jim. Margaret will be very sadly missed by her family, her loving son-in-law John, her dear brothers Mick, Paddy, Joe,sisters, Mary, Angela, Bernie, Josie, Pauline, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, extended family, friends and neighbours. Reposing in Grey’s Funeral Home this Sunday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Monday morning to St. Anne’s Church, Clonmore for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Templemore afterwards. Family members’ flowers only, donations, if desired, to the order of Carmelite Sisters C/o Grey’s Funeral Home.
