Charity is at the heart of this Stradbally Christmas fair

Christmas time is all about giving, and that is is exactly what the crafters in Stradbally Country Market’s Christmas Fair are doing this Saturday 16 December.

The crafters, a four-strong group of Kate Ramsbottom, Mary Gorman, Angelina Greaves and Maria Garry- are donating all the proceeds they make on the day to the Peter McVerry Trust for homelessness.

The Christmas fair takes place in St Patrick’s Hall, Stradbally from 10am to 4pm.

Besides from the crafters, there will be delicious treats including scones, biscuits, cakes and desserts as well as arts, crafts and Christmas wreaths on sale.

Kate Ramsbottom is over the potteryhouse.ie. She says the group decided to donate all their proceeds on the day because, “It just feels really good to do it for a good cause!”

“It’s Christmas so why not!”

The crafters will be selling ceramics, jewellery and other crafts on the day.
