Gardai appeal for lost rings in Portlaoise

Rings that were lost

Gardai Portlaoise are appealing for help to recover a number of rings that have been lost.

On December 27, Gardai took a report of lost property.

A lady lost her engagement, wedding and eternity ring outside the Midway Food Court at the Maldron Hotel Portlaoise.

The rings were a white gold band, an eternity ring- yellow gold band with 7 diamonds and an engagement ring- yellow gold band with 5 diamonds.

The rings obviously have serious sentimental value and could have been picked up by someone in the carpark.

There is no indication at this stage that the rings were stolen but the same cannot be said for a tractor that was taken recently.

Gardaí are appealing for information after a tractor was stolen near The Rock on Friday night.

The tractor, registration 12 LS 1137, was stolen during the night in the Mountmellick area.

It is bright red Massey Ferguson 6480 – a huge machine.
